CHYNOWETH – Margaret A. “Marg” (Bettle), 67, of Davidsville, passed away December 28, 2023 at Westmont Woods after a long battle with MS. Born July 27, 1956 in Johnstown the daughter of Henry W. and Emma M. (Johns) Bettle, who was a direct descendant of Joseph Johns, founder of Johnstown. Preceded in death by parents; father and mother-in-law James R., Jr. and Patricia E. (O’Connor) Chynoweth; uncle and aunt, Joseph M. and Mary Johns. Survived by husband of 49 years, Jeffrey B. “Jed” Chynoweth; son, Jason Johns Chynoweth and his wife, Darby; granddaughter, Trinity Emma Chynoweth and the extended Chynoweth family. Marg was a 1974 graduate of Conemaugh Township High School and retired employee of Soil Conservation Service, Somerset. She had a great love of all animals and was an avid Pittsburgh sports and NASCAR fan. She especially enjoyed being surrounded by her family.
