ORLANDI – Lawrence A. “Sport”, 76, Ferrellton, died July 9, 2021 at his home. Born May 13, 1945 in Windber. Son of Raymond and Elizabeth “Be-Be” (Pachniak) Orlandi. Preceded in death by parents and brother Richard. Survived by loving wife of 54 years Jackie P. (Pugh) Orlandi; son Anthony of Jenners; grandchildren Julie, Gracie, Cullen and Anastasia; sisters Dolores, widow of Dale Williams of Long Island, NY and Rita, married to Richard Hardesty of Seffner, FL; sisters-in-law Alice Orlandi of Etters, PA, Cherie married to Tom Smalley of Boswell and Brenda married to Bernie Carlson, Jr. of Boswell. Larry was a 1963 graduate of JBJ Joint High School, Boswell. Following graduation, he was employed by former Jack’s Super Market and Dorfman & Hoffman Garment Factory. He was a retired coal miner having worked in several local coal mines for over 25 years. Member of All Saints Catholic Parish where he helped his wife Jackie make rosaries. He was also a member of Jenner Rod & Gun Club. He enjoyed classic cars, especially his 1967 Ford Fairlane, listening to oldies music, hunting, fishing and looking for golf balls at Oakbrook Golf Club. The family would like to thank 365 Hospice, especially PJ, Mary Ann, Billie and David, for all the compassionate care given to Larry. A Funeral Mass will be held 11AM Thursday, July 15 at All Saints Catholic Church, Boswell with Rev. Fr. John-Mary Tompkins, OSB, Celebrant and Larry’s cousin Deacon Jack Orlandi assisting.
