GOWARTY – Kenneth R., 87, Jenners, died September 19, 2022 at Conemaugh Memorial Medical Center. Born December 11, 1934 in Windber. Son of Michael and Pearl (Figard) Gowarty. Preceded in death by parents; son, Kenny Gowarty, Jr. on February 25, 1983; sisters, Blanche Dodson and Josephine Carpenter and brothers, John, Robert and Arthur, Sr. Survived by wife of 65 years, Nancy L. (Donio); son, Chris married to Carol (Cane); grandchildren, Ashley and Justin and great-grandchildren, Karlee, Kyrstan and Hannah. Ken was a 1953 graduate of JBJ Joint High School, Boswell. He was a U.S. Army veteran and retired employee of Glidden Metals, Johnstown. Member of All Saints Catholic Parish where he served as a Eucharistic Minister. Also a member of Jenner Rod & Gun Club, Roxbury Mountain Field & Stream and New Baltimore Sportsmen’s Club. Ken enjoyed hunting, fishing and camping.
