GRANISTOSKY – Kathleen A. “Tootie” (Konieczny), 94, formerly of Jerome, passed away August 31, 2023 at Arbutus Park Manor, Johnstown. Born November 16, 1928 in Ralphton. Daughter of John W. and Helen (Rachocki) Konieczny. Preceded in death by parents; husband of 31 years, Joseph J. Granistosky, Sr. on August 14, 1996; sisters, Helen Bieniasz and Jennie Pitchford and brothers, John and Eugene Konieczny. Survived by children, Joseph J. Granistosky, Jr. and wife Pearl of Niceville, FL, Denise married to Douglas Sedlemeyer of Johnstown and Joy Lynn married to Paul Fetterhoff of Mechanicsburg; grandchildren, Sara married to Kevin Curl, Dana Granistosky, Megan and Madison Sedlemeyer and Jeremy and Lindsey Fetterhoff; great-grandchildren, Casey and Teagan Curl; brother, Robert Konieczny of Jerome; sister-in-law, Jeanne Konieczny of Jennerstown and numerous nieces and nephews. Tootie was a 1946 graduate of Conemaugh Township High School and a member of St. Anne Catholic Church, Davidsville and Jerome Volunteer Fire Dept. Ladies Auxiliary. She was very active in the Jerome community and the Somerset County Democratic Party. In her spare time, she enjoyed gambling, watching sports and game shows on TV, building puzzles, and knitting wash clothes. The family would like to thank the staff of Arbutus Park Manor for the care given to Tootie.
