HARSHBERGER – Joyce K. (Kuhns), 81, of Boswell, died January 7, 2024 at Laurel View Village. Born September 25, 1942 in Chambersburg the daughter of Harry and Carrie (Kriner) Kuhns. Preceded in death by parents; sister, Miriam Kauffman; brother, Donald Kuhns and in-laws, Dorothy Ramos and husband Tony, Mildred Blucas and husband Tony, Lois Cable, Pete Harshberger and wife Lila, Eli Helmuth, Sanford Peachey, Paul Harshberger and Herm Mellinger. Survived by husband of 56 years, David L. Harshberger; daughters, Dana Harshberger and fiance John Youngdahl and Cindy Ross; grandchildren, Hunter and Triston Ross; sister, Marie and husband Bob Hertzler; in-laws, Elroy Kauffman, Karen Kuhns, Jim Cable, Martha Helmuth and husband Maynard Kurtz, Mary Peachey and Carol Mellinger and numerous nieces and nephews. Joyce was a graduate of Eastern Mennonite High School and Eastern Mennonite College in Harrisonburg, VA. She was a secretary for Bethlehem Steel, then a stay-at-home mom while raising her daughters and afterwards was a State Farm Insurance agent. She was a longtime board member for World’s Attic and Laurel View Village and member of Kaufman Mennonite Church. Joyce also enjoyed traveling, reading, crocheting, ceramics, crosswords puzzles and playing piano. Friends received from 1PM until time of memorial service 2PM Saturday, January 20th at the Mishler Chapel at Laurel View Village with Pastors Wes Yoder and Eric Lasure presiding.
