LAPPI – Joseph L., 70, of Cresson, passed away peacefully on January 22, 2024 at his home. Born July 11, 1953 in Traverse City, MI. Son of the late Robert Louis and Rachael A. (Myers) Lappi. Survived by loving wife of 37 years, Robin A. (Bartlebaugh) Lappi; children, Rhonda married to Tim Garman, Shelly Lappi and Todd Lappi and wife Tiffany; grandchildren, Nicole married to Evan Garman, TJ Garman and Ethan, Grace and Savannah; great-grandson, Brandt; brothers, Terry Lappi and wife Lucy, Michael Lappi and wife Paula and Steve Lappi and wife Yvonne, special aunt, Kay Custer and cousin Tracy Custer and numerous nieces and nephews. Joe was a 1971 graduate of Conemaugh Township High School. He was employed by Giant Eagle as a Meat Department Manager and was a member of the Mountain Top Sportsmans Club and Jerome Polish Falcons. He spent most of his life playing the drums in multiple rock bands. He was a diehard Pittsburgh Steelers, Penguins and Pirates fan and loved camping with his wife Robin and his pet dog and buddy, Toby. He also loved hunting, especially during archery season, hanging with his friends at Moreland’s Garage and Ebensburg Bowling League and watching Steelers games with his son, Todd.
