TIMKO – John, 85, of Tire Hill, passed away peacefully at Conemaugh Memorial Medical Center on May 21, 2022. Born February 23, 1937 in Johnstown to Philip and Mary (Koban) Timko. Preceded in death by parents; wife, Norma Jean (Killen) Timko; brothers, George Timko and his wife Dorothy (Matchik) and Philip Timko and his wife Janice (Monak); sister, Helen Sidone and her husband, Quindo; brothers-in-law, Stephen Medvic and John Kupecky and godson, Philip Timko. Survived by daughters, Teresa DiLoreto and her husband Carmen and Milissa Taylor; grandchildren, Marissa and Serena DiLoreto and Joshua and Julia Taylor; great-grandchild, Cassian Joshua Taylor, born May 17, 2022; siblings, Nicholas Timko and wife Catherine (Kesselak), Mary married to George Byich; Peter Timko and wife Sally (Cassiotti) and Nancy Medvic; sister-in-law, Mary Ellen Kupecky and numerous nieces and nephews. John was a U.S. Army veteran. Retired employee of Bethlehem Steel Corp., Johnstown. He enjoyed being outdoors and taking care of his lawn and garden. For many years he could be seen walking around Tire Hill and Greenhouse Park. He loved his family and was very proud of them. At John’s request, a private service will be held for family at Hoffman Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Davidsville.
