Obituary

TAYLOR – John W. “Mick”, 72, Somerset, died suddenly October 11, 2020 at his home. Born November 24, 1947 in Johnstown. Son of John W., Jr. and Mildred Taylor. Preceded in death by parents; daughter Jeanine Downing; brothers Mark Boysza and Teddy Taylor; sisters Bertha Fleegle and Darlene Lepley and uncle and aunt Theodore and Alma (Spory) Taylor, who raised John. Survived by children Brian Fritch, Michelle Carroll, John Taylor and Megan and her husband Jon Burch; 10 grandchildren;10 great grandchildren and brothers Larry Taylor and wife Tammy and Terry Taylor. Also survived by pet dog Doobie. Mick served two tours with the US Army during the Vietnam War. Afterward he served in the Army National Guard until his retirement in 2007. He also served with the Somerset County Honor Guard. Mick was a member of Somerset Post 554 VFW and Somerset Post 181 American Legion. Viewing from 3PM until time of service 6PM Friday at Hoffman Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 409 Main Street, Boswell with Pastor Dan Judy presiding.
