MILLER – John R., 93, Jenners, died November 19, 2019 at In-Touch Hospice, Somerset. Born December 15, 1925 in Boswell. Son of John and Helen (Nymick) Miller. Preceded in death by parents, wife of 70 years Bernice G. (Lintz) Miller on July 28, 2017; two infant sons; brothers Walter and Joseph and sister Dorothy Miller. Survived by daughter Denise married to James Shesko, Boswell; son David married to Teresa (Brewer), Hooversville; grandchildren Brian Shesko and wife Dayna; Christopher Shesko and friend Elizabeth and Nicholas Shesko; step grandchildren Elizabeth and husband Cris Erdtsieck and Laura Kelly; great-grandchildren Ellisyn, Arden and Vera; step-great grandson Beckett; sister Barbara “Toots” Miller, Boswell; brothers Eugene married to Sally (Bennett), Georgia and Richard married to Barbara (Stroko), Florida; brother-in-law Willard Lintz and wife Barbara, Jenners; sisters-in-law Jane Lintz, Boswell and Louise Lintz, South Carolina; numerous nieces and nephews and caregiver Brenda Hause. A U.S. Navy Veteran of WWII having served in the Pacific Theater. He enjoyed Memorial Day services and paying tribute to our service men and women. John was a retired employee of Carpenter’s Local Union 1419. Member of Jenner Rod & Gun Club, Boswell Breakfast Club and Boswell Post 461 American Legion where he spent many evenings with his friends. Before his health failed him, he attended All Saints Catholic Church, Boswell and Somerset Alliance Church. John enjoyed spending time with his family and going out to eat, especially at Tailgatez in Somerset. Friends received 2-6PM Sunday at Hoffman Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 409 Main Street, Boswell where a service will be held 11AM Monday with Pastor Tony Myers presiding.
