Joel was also the favorite son-in-law of the late Jiggs and Martha Lynch. Joel graduated from North Star High School in 1985 and attended UPJ. He was an active member of the Somerset County Maple Producers and was the force behind Walnutdale Maple Farms, a passion he inherited from his grandfather Hubert. He worked most of his life helping his brother Jon on the family dairy farm as the go-to mechanic and equipment operator. Recently, he worked as plant manager for Wildcat Converting, with his good friend Mike Reed. He was a life member of Zion-Hoffman Lutheran Church.
