FRITZ – Joan F. (Barclay), 84, Jenner Township, died March 22, 2020 at Forbes Regional Hospital, Monroeville. Born December 24, 1935 in Somerset Township. Daughter of George and Goldie (Beck) Barclay. Preceded in death by parents, husband of 55 years Richard B. Fritz on February 13, 2011, infant daughter Stephanie Sue Fritz, son Richard E. Fritz, sister Dorothy Barclay and sister-in-law Hazel Barclay. Survived by children Cherie M. Fritz and companion Dale Bailey, Kelly B. Fritz and April J. widow of Tim Mishler; grandsons Jeff Mishler and wife Angela and Roy Mishler; sisters Ruth married to Robert Glessner and Nancy married to Ron Bittlebrun; brothers George Barclay and Harold Barclay and wife Carmen; half-sister Leslie married to David Benford and numerous nieces and nephews. A 1953 graduate of Somerset High School. Retired employee of DeVilbiss Health Care, Somerset with over 37 years of service. Member of Mt. Laurel United Church of Christ, Somerset County Pomona Grange and Wills Grange having served as Secretary for both granges. Also a member of the Red Hat Society and Silver Sneakers, Boswell. Joan enjoyed reading, going on bus trips and tending to her cats. Due to current public health restrictions, a private family viewing will be held at Hoffman Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Boswell. A memorial service will be announced at a later date.
