BOWMAN – Jack E., 77, of Jennerstown, passed away November 1, 2023 at his home. Born August 11, 1946 in Boswell. Son of Elwood C. and Mary E. (Trout) Bowman. Preceded in death by parents; sister, Shirley Frampton and brother, Bryan Bowman. Survived by wife of 19 years, Carol A. (Firestone) Bowman; children, Daniel Bowman and wife Lori and Kevin Bowman and wife Anastasia; step-children, David Allgood and wife Jessica, Charles Allgood and wife Angie and Melissa Bishop and husband Stephen; 16 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; brothers, Bill and wife Chris and Rick and wife Robin. Jack was a 1965 graduate Jenner-Boswell High School and a U.S. Army veteran of Vietnam War. He was a career auto mechanic. Member of Jenner Rod & Gun Club, Boswell Post 461 American Legion and Somerset Post 554 VFW. Jack enjoyed working on engines and motors and with stained glass. He was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan and also liked auto racing, gardening, fishing and hunting. Viewing from 10AM until time of service noon Monday at Hoffman Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 409 Main Street with Pastor Chuck Hildbold presiding with military honors by Somerset County Honor Guard.
