ROSE – Howard G. “Husky”, 87, Boswell, died September 15, 2023 at The Patriot, Somerset. Born October 12, 1935 in Elton. Son of Howard and Freda G. (Crum) Rose. Preceded in death by parents; great-grandson, Preston Phillippi and brothers, Ray, Kenneth, Robert and Clair Rose. Survived by wife of 65 years, Dorothy J. (Miller) Rose; daughters, Cynthia M. married to Dallas “Doc” Stout and Carol Ann Rose; grandchildren, Valerie and Bryan Stout; great-grandchildren, Michael Phillippi and Brooke Stout; brother, Dale Rose; sister, Darlene Cyphert and numerous nieces and nephews. Husky was a 1953 graduate of Adams Township High School and a U.S. Army veteran serving from 1958-1960. He was a long-time dairy farmer and partner and co-owner of Rose Lumber & Planning Mill.
