LEYDIG – Helen Jean, 82, Ferrellton, went to heaven on December 27, 2020 at The Patriot in Somerset. Born March 8, 1938 in Ferrellton. Daughter of the late Harry L. and Sophie (Kovalchick) Leydig. Survived by sisters Katherine Eichenmuller and Carol Labad, both of Pittsburgh; nephews Raymond, Michael and Brent Eichenmuller and nieces Collene Reilly and Lori Joseph. Helen Jean was a longtime employee of former Peoples Bank & Trust Co., Jennerstown and a lifelong resident of Ferrellton. She was an active member of Reading Grace Brethren Church and a volunteer for Meals on Wheels. She loved her cats and over the years gave home to many strays. Helen Jean will be missed by all who knew her and loved her. A private viewing and service will be held. A public celebration of her life will be held at a later date. Interment Somerset County Memorial Park.
