JAMES – Helen (Wanko), 97, Jerome, died August 31, 2019 at Windber Woods. Born July 13, 1922 in Hartshorne, OK. Daughter of Thomas and Ann (Wansick) Wanko. Preceded in death by parents; husband Clifford James; son Clifford, Jr.; infant brothers Michael and Billy; brothers John, Frank, Thomas, Andrew and Leon; sisters Eva, Ann, Susan, Nancy, Julie and Mary and loving niece and goddaughter Sandra Wills. Survived by loving niece and goddaughter Janet Shaffer; Lugene Oakman Dunmyer whom Helen had a special place in her heart and loved like a daughter and numerous other nieces and nephews and their families. She was employed by several local garment factories for many years. Helen enjoyed large family picnics, gardening, building puzzles and cross stitching. She had a tremendous love for children and all animals. Viewing from 5-8PM Wednesday at Hoffman Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 409 Main Street, Boswell where a service will be held 11AM Thursday with Pastor Denise Todero presiding.
