PANEK - Georgiann M. (Orlandi), 72, Dover, PA, formerly of Jenners and Somerset, died unexpectedly, but peacefully, surrounded by her family on January 9, 2021 at UPMC Community Hospital in Harrisburg. Born November 9, 1948 in Somerset. Daughter of George and Mary Jane (Folton) Orlandi. Preceded in death by parents and former husband Robert G. Panek. Survived by loving husband, Tom Benedict, whom she married July 29, 2015; cherished son Robert T. “Bobby” Panek married to Mylin (Almader), Southern Pines, NC; sister Regina “Reggie” Larimer, Johnstown; stepdaughters Jamie Homistek and husband Martin and Tiffany O’Neill and husband Brian; special niece and nephew, Jessica Gilbert and husband Aaron and Todd Larimer and wife Tara; great-nephew and nieces, Jacob, Ava and Alivia and many caring and close cousins. A 1966 graduate of former Jenner-Boswell High School. After many years of service, she retired from the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, Department of Public Welfare in March, 1999. Following retirement, Georgiann devoted her life and time to taking care of her husband Tom. Past member of former St. Stanislaus Catholic Church, now All Saints Parish. Due to current public gathering restrictions, a family viewing will be held. Friends and other family members are invited to the Funeral Mass, 11AM Friday at All Saints Catholic Church, Boswell with Rev. Fr. Aron Maghsoudi, Celebrant, assisted by Georgiann’s special cousin, Deacon Jack Orlandi. Inurnment at a later date in Holy Cross Cemetery, Jerome.
