Obituary for Frank W. "Pal" Stinebiser

STINEBISER – Frank W. “Pal”, 84, Listie, went to be with the Lord, June 6, 2022 at UPMC Somerset Hospital. Born May 13, 1938 in Youngwood, PA. Son of Alva and Viola (Hoyle) Stinebiser. Preceded in death by parents; great-grandson, Everett Barnick and nephew Francis Stinebiser. Survived by wife of 61 years, Connie L. (Weigle) Stinebiser; children, Craig married to Linda (Oakman), Somerset; Brad married to Lori (Drummond), Somerset and Heidi Stinebiser, at home; grandchildren, Jessie married to Matthew Barnick, Bailey Stinebiser, Taylor and Mary Stinebiser and Raegan Michael; great-grandchildren, Carson and Kinsley Barnick; siblings, Alma Zoleski, Dolores and husband Edward Long, Alva Stinebiser, Jr. and wife Shirley, James Stinebiser and wife Waneta and Donald Stinebiser and wife Becky and numerous nieces and nephews. Frank was a graduate of Hempfield High School. He was U.S. Air Force Veteran and member of Army National Guard. Former employee of IXL Creamery, Friedens and retired employee of the U.S. Postal Service after 39 years of service. He then worked at Somerset Auto Parts. Member of Listie Grace Brethren Church where he taught Sunday School and AWANA. A former Scout Master for Friedens and Somerset Boy Scouts, YMCA Swim Instructor, Roof Garden Chorus member and Laurel Arts Wood Carving Instructor. He was founder of Friedens Little League Baseball and was a long-time umpire and coach for Somerset Little League. In his spare time, he liked fishing, camping and spending time at the Somerset Senior Center. His greatest joy was spending time with his family at picnics and celebrations where you typically found him in a chair with a piece of wood, carving his next project. Viewing from 11AM until time of service 1PM Friday at Listie Grace Brethren Church with Pastor Chris Knight and Pastor Larry Weigle presiding. Military rites by Somerset County Honor Guard.
