FERRE – Eugene G., 54, Johnstown, formerly of Boswell, passed away unexpectedly March 5, 2021 at his home. Born April 29, 1966 in Arlington, VA. Son of Eugene E. and Garnel D. (Berkebile) Ferre. Preceded in death by parents; grandchildren Alyiah Chatman and Lana Bennett and brother-in-law Michael Baraniak. Survived by his loving wife of 37 years Penny J. (Krupper) Ferre; children Barret (Laurie) Ferre, Britany Ferre (Dewayne Chatman), Brandon (Jessica) Ferre, Breann (Brian) Bennett and Braxton Ferre; grandchildren Kinsie and Natalia Ferre; Demetrius Chatman; Aubrey, Roman and Nathan Ferre and Ariel Bennett; sisters, Janine (Larry) Konieczny; Josana Baraniak; Johnna (Jay) Lensbouer; Jamie Dedik and Jill (Bob) Lewis and numerous nieces and nephews. Gene was a 1984 graduate of North Star High School. He worked at the Abex Steel Mill in Hollsopple for several years before finishing his career with the Johnstown Laborer's Union Local 910. He enjoyed spending time with his family, watching movies with his wife, listening to music and going for nature walks.
