Obituary for Elizabeth P. "Betsy" Kaufman (Joswick)

KAUFMAN – Elizabeth P. “Betsy” (Joswick), 69, Boswell, went to be with her Risen Lord Jesus on August 1, 2020 at Conemaugh Memorial Medical Center after a short but valiant battle with cancer. Born April 18, 1951 in Somerset. Daughter of the late Richard and Betty (Nagy) Joswick. Survived by husband of 29 years Joseph W. Kaufman; daughters Richelle Jarosyk, Boswell; Jodie Jarosyk and partner John Blough, Boswell and Beth (Jarosyk) Popernack and husband Michael, Somerset; she was a very loving grandmother to Kayla married to James Rose, Forrest, Logan, Bailey, Collin, Torin, Monty, Vera, Rosie and Ella and great-grandchildren Aiden, Faith, Lucy and Nolan; also survived by brother Richard Joswick and wife Jan, Idaho; sisters Kathy Lindstedt and husband Jan, Virginia and Bonnie Pacheco and husband Fernando, Virginia; brother-in-law Michael Kaufman and wife Marilyn, Boswell; sister-in-law Angela Lyons and husband Butch, Boswell and numerous nieces and nephews. A 1969 graduate of former Forbes High School. Betsy was very active in the Laurel Trinity Lutheran Church, Jennerstown where she liked to make banners, attend to the vestments and sing in the church choir. She especially liked being instrumental in the production and acting in plays presented by her church’s Trinity Players. The last several plays were presented at the Mountain Playhouse in Jennerstown. Betsy also enjoyed tending to her flower garden. A private viewing will be held Tuesday at Hoffman Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Boswell. Friends and family are invited to a viewing from 10AM until time of service 11AM Wednesday at Laurel Trinity Lutheran Church with Pastor Will Foster presiding.
