Obituary for Eileen F. Poznanski

POZNANSKI – Eileen F. (Francis), 77, of Jerome, passed away unexpectedly January 2, 2024 at her home. Born November 7, 1946 in Peterborough, England the daughter of Herbert E. and Laura (Frances) Francis. Preceded in death by parents; husband, Andrew C., Jr. “Puzz” and father and mother-in-law, Andrew C., Sr. and Pauline Poznanski. Survived by daughter, Debbie, married to William George, St. Michael; son, Stephen, married to Gina (Marisa), Somerset Pike; adoring grandchildren, Bruno “B.J.” Rosa and Jordan, Tyler and Mya Poznanski, who lovingly referred to Eileen as “Gaga” or “Ein”; siblings, John, Daphne, Margery and Jean who knew Eileen as “Filly” and numerous beloved nieces and nephews. Eileen and Andy met in England while he was serving in the U.S. Air Force. They married there and moved back to Jerome where they lived for 41 years until Andy’s passing in 2009. Eileen was a member of St. Anne Catholic Church, Davidsville. She was a loving mother and grandmother who enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and attending their sporting events. She was well known for her homemade pierogis, building jigsaw puzzles, shopping every weekend and keeping a beautifully maintained yard. Eileen was a very kind and caring person who touched the lives of many and will be sadly missed by family and friends. Friends received from 9:30AM until 10:30AM Saturday at Hoffman Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 109 Church Road, Davidsville. Funeral Mass to follow at 11AM Saturday at St. Anne Church with Rev.
