FERRE, Dorothy J. (Miller), 95, Boswell, fell asleep in the Lord August 12, 2020 at home. Born May 1, 1925 in Quemahoning Township, Somerset County. Daughter of Galen E. Miller, Sr. and Dottie (Reed) Morris-Miller. Preceded in death by parents; husband of 60 yrs. Constant N., June 20, 2008 and son Eugene and his wife, Garnel. Also preceded in death by sisters; Lottie Hambley-Rubinsky; Gladys Jury and Stella Keim; 2 infant sisters; Grace and Edith Morris and brothers; Charles “Bud”, Herbert and Edward Morris and Harold, Galen E., Jr.,”Juney” and William Miller. Survived by children; Connie Schutrick, Irwin; Paula , married to Richard Gracie; Judy and Peter Ferre, all of Boswell. Also survived by numerous grand, great and great great grandchildren and many friends, nieces and nephews. A member of All Saints Catholic Parish, the church choir and vice president and curator of Boswell Historical Society. Volunteer at Boswell Food Pantry for many years. Also member of the “Knotty Ladies” of St. Andrews Lutheran Church, Boswell. Dorothy was greatly loved and will be missed by many. Viewing from 4-8PM Monday, August 17 at Hoffman Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 409 Main Street, Boswell where Vigil for Deceased will be held 4PM Monday.
