GISBRECHT - Doris Jeane “DJ”, 89, Boswell, died May 16, 2023 at Siemon’s Lakeview Manor, Somerset. Born March 5, 1934 in Ferrellton the daughter of Joseph and Elma L. (Baer) Johns. Preceded in death by parents; son, Jeffery L. Flick; daughter, Jennifer L. Flick and former husband, James H. Flick. Survived by daughters, Judy L. married to Larry J. Franke, Joni L. Flick and Jeanie L. Folton; grandchildren, Gregory and former wife Crystal, Christopher and wife Laura, Jacqueline and partner Jeffrey, Kelsey and husband Nathaniel, Natalie and husband Neil, Taylor and partner Michael and Emily; great-grandchildren, Presley, Zoey, Madison, Conner, Chloe, Margaret and Penelope. DJ was a 1952 graduate of Johnstown High School. She worked as a manager/bartender/server at Conzatti’s Restaurant, Myron’s Lounge, Lamonica’s Restaurant, The Georgian Inn and Ruthie’s Diner. She was an avid bowler with the Thursday Night Women’s League in Jerome then in Somerset. She also enjoyed gardening, being in nature, jigsaw puzzles, crossword puzzles and playing scrabble. She was a lifelong fan of all things sports related. Most of all, she loved spending time with her family and friends and many people called her, Mom. DJ loved life to its fullest and had a smile that lit up the room.
