MEYERS- Donald E., Jr. ”Garg”, 80, formerly of Hollsopple, died March 5, 2022 at Siemon’s Lakeview Manor, Somerset. Born March 22, 1941 in Johnstown. Son of Donald E., Sr. and Betty L. (Bozic) Meyers Preceded in death by parents. Survived by wife of many years, Donna M. (Fleagle) Meyers; children Donald E., III married to Kimberly (King), Johnstown; Douglas M. married to Phyllis (Troyan), Seanor and Lori M. married to Kirby Reese, Hollsopple; grandchildren Samantha married to Ian Cunningham, Tyler Reese, Jacob Meyers married to Caci, Chloe Reese, Luke Meyers, Eli Reese and Dalton Meyers and sister Joann Hostetler, Hollsopple. He was a 1960 graduate of Conemaugh Township High School and a U.S. Marine Corps Reservist. Former steelworker for U.S. Steel and Johnstown Corporation. He was also employed by Windber Country Club as a groundskeeper. A member of the Conemaugh Valley Marine Corps Detachment League. He enjoyed being outdoors gardening, hunting, fishing and a genuine love for animals. Donald was very mechanical and could repair almost anything. Viewing from 2-4 & 6-8 Tuesday at Hoffman Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 109 Church Road, Davidsville where a service will be held 11AM Wednesday with Rev. Randy Bain presiding.
