GINDLESPERGER - Dean P., 76, of Somerset, passed away March 17, 2024 at UPMC Somerset Hospital. Born December 22, 1947 in Ponce’, Puerto Rico, the son of Dean and Mary (Martinez) Gindlesperger. Preceded in death by parents and brothers, Ritchie and Henry Gindlesperger. Survived by wife of 57 years, Dorothy (Stitt) Gindlesperger; children, Julie married to Bill Tunstall, Doug Gindlesperger and Deanna (Gindlesperger) Thomas and her fiancé Jerry Snyder; grandchildren, Nicole married to Aaron Kennedy, Billy Tunstall and fiancé Jill Dickey, Koreena married to Chris Gisbrecht, Morgan Thomas and Nathan Thomas; great-grandchildren, Leilani, Paisley and Violet; sisters, Millie married to Scott Knupp, Bonnie Reedy and Diane St. Clair; brothers, Bobby and Jim Gindlesperger and pet cat, Monkey. Dean was a 1965 graduate of Jenner-Boswell High School and a U.S. Navy veteran serving from 1965-1970. He was a coal miner for 32 years and attended New Beginnings Outreach Center. He enjoyed going to the casino, fishing and spending time with family. He was kind to everyone that crossed his path and never hesitated to talk to a stranger. Dean was liked by many and will be missed by many, especially by his wife and family. Viewing from 12-2PM & 4-6PM Wednesday at Hoffman Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 409 Main Street, Boswell. A service will follow at 6PM with Pastor Kurtis Frampton presiding followed by a military honors service.
