Obituary for Cora E. Brant

BRANT – Cora E. (St. Clair), 83, of Gray, passed away December 19, 2023 at her home after a battle with cancer. Born November 18, 1940 in Jenner Township. Daughter of Floyd and Mary (Zerfoss) St. Clair. Preceded in death by parents; sisters, Viola Willison and her husband James and Laura Penrod and her husband John; brothers, Carl St. Clair and his wife Janet and Dwight St. Clair and his wife Betty; father and mother-in-law, Donald and Mildred Brant, sister-in-law, Joann Marker and brother-in-law, James Brant and his wife Juanita. Survived by husband of 65 years, Donald D. Brant; sons, David and companion Luann Watkins and Bryan and wife Molly (Walker); daughter, Leona Bumbarger and husband Matthew; grandchildren, Beth Brant and companion Scott Conn, Valerie Brant and companion Kenny Weigle, Micki Bruck and husband Alex, Jennifer Fair, Amber Tressler and husband Brian, Austin Brant, Andrea Showman and husband Andrew, Evan Bumbarger and wife Annie and Bree Woolf and wife Emilee; 16 great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Kathleen Straw and companion James Niehenke; brothers-in-law, Christopher Brant and companion Cheryl Supanick and Lee Marker and wife Candice and numerous nieces and nephews. Cora was a 1958 graduate of JBJ Joint High School, Boswell where she was a cheerleader. She was an active member of Mt. Laurel United Church of Christ, near Gray. She was a long time cook for North Star School District and was an active member of the Gray community, having organized many annual picnics and other community events. Cora had a great love of cooking and crocheting but mostly loved caring for her family. Viewing from 2-4 & 6-8PM Friday at Hoffman Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 409 Main Street, Boswell. Viewing also from 10AM until time of service 11AM Saturday at Mt. Laurel United Church of Christ with Rev. Dr. James Stobaugh and Rev. Dr. Joseph Beer presiding. Interment Beam Cemetery, Gray.
