June was a Korean War, Army Corp of Combat Engineers, veteran. He retired from PBS Coal Co. after 25 years. Member of the former Laurel Mountain Grace Brethren Church. He enjoyed planting a big vegetable garden every year, but what he truly loved was delivering the abundance of tomatoes and zucchinis to all his family. It was the perfect excuse to visit. He was an avid tinkerer and could spend days in the shop doing everything from building birdhouses to repairing engines. His hands were calloused and scarred but he had a very tender heart, one that showed in the worry for all his family and the sweetness toward the dogs he adored.
