DEIST – Clara L. “Sue” (Russell), 77, formerly of Sipesville, died November 4, 2019 at Siemon’s Lakeview Manor, Somerset. Born June 25, 1942 in Johnstown. Daughter of Clyde L. and Ethel (Jones) Russell. Preceded in death by parents, infant brother Clyde, Jr. and sisters Ethel Mae Milkovich and Evelyn Irene Swank. Survived by husband of 61 years George F. Deist; daughters Cindy married to Kenneth Merrill, Gray and Tine married to Ronald Infantino, Punxsutawney; grandchildren Ken Merrill, Jr. and Crystal Abell and great-grandchildren Madison, Conner and Chloe. She was a former member of Christ Casebeer Evangelical Lutheran Church. Past Nurse’s Aide at the former Lee Hospital and formerly worked as a Home Health Care Aide. Sue loved to help people and even assisted other residents at Siemon’s. She greatly enjoyed cooking, camping, meals with family, playing cards and bingo. Viewing from 2-4 & 6-8PM Thursday at Hoffman Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 409 Main Street, Boswell where a service will be held 11AM Friday with Rev. Thomas Brown presiding.
