ROSE – Clair D., 82, Jenner Township, died March 25, 2021 at his home. Born January 3, 1939 in Elton. Son of Howard and Freda G. (Crum) Rose. Preceded in death by parents; wife of 60 years Carole A. (Kimmel) Rose on October 28, 2020 and brothers, Ray, Kenneth and Robert Rose. Survived by sons, James H. and Jan D. married to Darlene (Coughenour), all of Jenner Township; grandchildren Jennifer married to John Evans, Austin, TX, Ryan Nasewicz married to Nicole (Shaulis), Jenner Township, Austin Rose, Jenner Township, Michelle married to Josh Tavener, Melbourne, FL and Gary Gisbrecht married to Amber (Rose), Jenner Township; great grandchildren Suzanna Evans, Colton Nasewicz, Kaleb Gisbrecht, Isabella, Quincy and Lucas Tavener and Tucker, Morgan and Hunter Gisbrecht; brothers Howard and Dale Rose and sister Darlene Cyphert. Clair was a 1957 graduate of JBJ Joint High School, Boswell. Following high school, he joined the U.S. Air Force Reserves. He was founder of former Rocking R Tavern in Jennerstown. Retired Owner and Operator of Laurel Builders; a manufacturer and builder of custom log homes. Clair enjoyed being outdoors farming and was an avid hunter. Viewing from 3-6PM Sunday at Hoffman Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 409 Main Street, Boswell. A private service will be held Monday. Interment Rose Family Cemetery.
