Obituary for Charles C. "Chis" Williamson Jr.

WILLIAMSON – Charles C., Jr., “Chis”, 89, of Camp Hill, died March 1, 2023 at Harrisburg Hospital. Born November 29, 1933 in Johnstown. Son of Charles C., Sr. and Maude (Yoder) Williamson. Preceded in death by parents and sisters, Mary Williamson and Catherine Slobozien. Survived by wife of 63 years, Joan M. (Kutchman) Williamson; son, Gregory A. Williamson and nieces and nephews, John, Thomas, Anne, Robert and Mary Grace Sloboziein. Charles was a 1952 graduate of Johnstown High School. A U.S. Marine Corps veteran of Korean War having served for 3 years active duty and 2 years in reserves. He attended the University of Pittsburgh at Johnstown. Former employee of Bethlehem Steel Corp., Johnstown from 1952-1979 having worked in the payroll department. He then worked at their Steelton plant from 1979 until it’s closing with a total of 33 years of service. Chis was also a member of the American Legion. He enjoyed photography and collecting antique woodworking tools. He was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan and former season ticket holder for 43 years. Viewing from 11AM until time of service 1PM Monday, March 6 at Hoffman Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 109 Church Road, Davidsville with Pastor Wes Yoder presiding.
