BAIRD – Caroline M. (Policicchio), 95, Boswell, died peacefully September 18, 2023 at her home. Born May 30, 1928 in Boswell. Daughter of James and Jennie (Trigona) Policicchio. Preceded in death by parents; husband, Fred G. Baird in 1997; grandson, Johnny Matsko; son-in-law, John “Pepe” Matsko, III; brothers, Tony, John, Bruno, James and Marshall Policicchio and sisters, Rose Maruca and Annetta Lamonica. Survived by children, Karen (Calisti) Ryan, Teresa (Calisti) Matsko and Bruno Calisti and wife Delores; grandchildren, Shanna, Jessica and Kristen; great-grandchildren, Alex, Allie, Aiden, McKenna, Emma, Nathan and Giovanni; step-daughter, Garnet Hillegas and her children, Jill, Jonathan and Jennifer and her great-grandchildren and special friend, Bob Baer and his children, Bob and Linda. Caroline was a 1946 graduate of Boswell High School and former employee of Dorfman & Hoffman Garment Factory, Boswell. She was a member of All Saints Catholic Church, Boswell Lodge 1780 Sons of Italy, Boswell Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary, Four Seasons Club, Boswell Legion Auxiliary and Boswell Senior Center. Caroline was well loved and will be greatly missed by her friends and family. Viewing from 5-8PM Thursday at Hoffman Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 409 Main Street, Boswell where a Vigil for the Deceased will be held.
