CARVER – Carol E., 95, Boswell, formerly of Huron and Sandusky, OH, died of natural causes on December 22, 2018 at Country Manor Living, Jerome, PA after a long battle with Alzheimer’s disease. Born December 15, 1923 in Jacksonville, FL. Daughter of Duncan and Marie (Levick) Entz. Preceded in death by parents; former husband William J. Ilg, Jr.; second husband Robert D. Carver; son William J. “Beau” Ilg, III and step-daughter Nancy (Carver) Lorey. Survived by children Nancy Ilg, Garland, TX; Christopher Ilg, Johnstown; Mary (Robert J, II) Blough, Boswell; Martin (Lori) Carlysle, Sandusky, OH and Libbie Tenaglia (Greg Specht), Seven Hills, OH; step-sons Dr. Charles S. (Youngmee) Carver, Coral Gables, FL and Jeffrey A. (Allysen) Carver, Arlington, MA; grandchildren William J. “Chip” Ilg, IV; Brian (Lynn) Grant, Monroeville, OH; Andrea Blough (Jude Clapper) Taipei, Taiwan; Margaret (Daniel) Mountain, Wexford, PA; Stephanie “Stevi” (Zachary) Jerrold, Bethlehem, PA; Alexandria (Connor) and Julia Carver, Arlington, MA; 13 great-grandchildren and brother-in-law John Ilg, Lakewood, OH. Carol was a civilian secretary during WWII at Camp Blanding, Starke, FL where she was known as “Reb”, short for Rebel. She graduated from Bowling Green University in 1970 and was a school teacher and librarian. She and her husband Bob traveled extensively. She also enjoyed doing volunteer work, writing and painting. Carol was a kind and gracious lady with an indelible spirit and left this world a better place for having been here. A memorial service will be held at a later date for the convenience of the family.
