RYKALA – Bertha M. (Kosak), 96, Jerome, died September 1, 2021 at Conemaugh Memorial Medical Center. Born August 5, 1925 in Jerome. Daughter of Bronislaw and Veronica (Yurgalevich) Kosak. Preceded in death by parents; husband Edward M. Rykala on January 20, 1991; an infant brother and sisters Edith Kasper, Jane Godish, Genevieve Godish and Gertrude Ciba. Survived by son Thomas E. Rykala, Jerome and numerous nieces, nephews and great-nieces and nephews. Bertha was a 1943 graduate of Conemaugh Township High School. Former employee of Acme Markets and Moxham Hardware. Active member of former Holy Cross Catholic Church, Jerome and St. Anne Catholic Church, Davidsville. She enjoyed reading and praying the rosary every day. Family requests that no food be taken to their home. Viewing from 2-4 & 6-8PM Tuesday at Hoffman Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 109 Church Road, Davidsville where a Vigil for the Deceased will be held 2PM Tuesday.
