Obituary for Barry Lee Friedline

FRIEDLINE - Barry Lee, 69, of Jennerstown, went to be with his Savior on January 15, 2021 at UPMC Somerset after a battle with Covid 19. Born January 19, 1951 in Somerset. Son of Denver L. and Ruth N. (Mishler) Friedline. Preceded in death by father, brother-in-law Tim O. Dunmyer, father-in-law and mother-in-law J. William and Rosemarie (Stern) Fritz; sister-in-law and brother-in-law Marjorie A. (Fritz) and Larry E. Hauger and sister-in-law Teresa A. (Ryniak) Fritz. Survived by mother; wife of 36 years Virginia R. “Ginny” (Fritz) Friedline; sister, Nancy L. Dunmyer; niece, Christina M. (Jeff) Constantino; nephew, Jonathan D. Dunmyer; brother-in-law, Jay M. Fritz, whom Barry thought the world of; sister-in-law Laura M. (Robert) Hauger; nephews Jason J. (Gena) Fritz, Robert (Crystal) Hauger, II, Dustin (Peggy) Hauger and Jeremy (Shannon) Hauger; niece Amanda Enos; stepmother-in-law Mary (Chapman) Fritz; stepsisters-in-law Lorie (Greg) McArdell, Sherry (Frank) Rapp, Brenda (Kate) Chapman and Catie (Scott) Perkins; stepbrother-in-law Richard (Brenda) Chapman; longtime friend, Gary Miller, whom Barry thought of as his little brother and many great-nieces and great-nephews, whom Barry dearly loved. He was a 1968 graduate of Jenner-Boswell High School and a 1972 graduate of I.U.P. He worked for Peoples Bank & Trust and First Commonwealth Bank for many years. He drove school van for Shanksville-Stonycreek School District and retired from Keyway Supply Company in Stoystown, Member of Mt. Laurel United Church of Christ Family where he was a member of the Mt. Laurel Players. Barry enjoyed collecting albums and CD’s and loved going to many many Alabama concerts with Gerald and Patty Carr and to Johnny Angel & The Halos concerts with brother-in-law, Jay. He was also an avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan and enjoyed reloading ammo, volunteering with the PA Game Commission and being the D.J. for weddings and parties. Due to current public gathering restrictions, a viewing for immediate family only followed by a public graveside service at 11:30AM, Tuesday at Beam Cemetery, Gray with Rev. Dr. Joseph Beer and Rev. Dr. James Stobaugh presiding. Donations in Barry’s memory may be sent to Mt. Laurel United Church of Christ, 1209 Keysertown Rd., Boswell PA 15531.
