SHEFTIC – B. Vinson “Vinnie”, 79 of Jenner Township, passed away September 4, 2020 at Conemaugh Memorial Hospital. Born August 8, 1941 in Wilpen. Son of Basil and Anne (Fitchko) Sheftic. Preceded in death by parents and brother Robert. Survived by wife of 45 years Georgia M. (Morocco) Sheftic and numerous cousins. A 1959 graduate of JBJ Joint High School, Boswell and a graduate of the University of Pittsburgh. A U.S. Army veteran of the Vietnam War. Vinnie was a retired employee for Laborers Local 419 Union. A member of St. Mary’s Orthodox Greek Catholic Church, Jenners where he served as Secretary. He volunteered for Helping Hands Food Pantry, Boswell and was an Election Poll Worker for Jenner Township. Vinnie also assisted his wife Georgia at the Second Time Around Store. In his spare time he enjoyed kayaking on the Quemahoning Dam. Viewing from 4-8PM Tuesday at Hoffman Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 409 Main Street, Boswell. A private service will be held Wednesday. Committal St. Mary’s Cemetery, Jenners with military honors by Somerset County Honor Guard.
