O’BAKER – Ann M. (Caton), 87, formerly of Friedens and Boswell, died February 19, 2020 at Meadow View Nursing Center, Berlin. Born May 10, 1932 in Allegheny Township, Somerset County. Daughter of Harry A. and Edna M. (Burkett) Caton. Preceded in death by parents; husband H. Vale O’Baker on February 2, 2002; brothers William, Owen, Arthur and Paul Caton; sisters Marion Caton, Florence Sarver, Cathleen Ferguson, Ona Gerhardt and Virginia Mostoller. Survived by daughter Valerie A. Baer, Somerset and her special friend Denver Reed, Stoystown; brothers Merle, Harry and Robert Caton; sisters-in-law Karen married to Robert DeMarco and Joyce O’Baker and numerous nieces and nephews. A 1950 graduate of Berlin High School. Member of Hopewell United Methodist Church and Somerset American Legion. Former employee of Speorlin Garment Factory and Mostoller’s Country Corral Restaurant, Friedens. Ann enjoyed baking, cooking, building puzzles, crocheting and traveling with her daughter. Viewing from 2PM until time of service 4PM Sunday at Hoffman Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 409 Main Street, Boswell with Pastor Joseph Caola presiding. Interment Jenner Crossroads Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in Ann’s memory may be sent to Hopewell United Methodist Church, 151 Hopewell Rd., Hollsopple, PA 15935. Dear Valerie, My deep sympathy in the passing of your mother. My dad(Mike Phillips) was a good friend with your dad. Probably met you and your mother a few times many years ago. Prayers for God's comfort.
