Obituary for Angela D. Williams

WILLIAMS – Angela D. (Dill) “Angie”, 88, Davidsville, passed away peacefully March 23, 2024 at Laurel View Village. Born January 23, 1936 in Johnstown, daughter of Nick and Dorothy (Sodano) Dill. Preceded in death by parents; son, David Williams; grandchildren, Christopher Schaefer, Aaron Borodach and Angela Boratko and siblings, Bill and Carl “Charlie” Dill and Louise Dimeo and Anita Samone. Survived by husband of 69 years, Robert G. Williams; children, Lynn married to Dan Gray, Alayne married to Gary Boratko and Roger Williams and wife Lisa; 9 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren. Angie was a 1953 graduate of former Catholic High School, Johnstown. Member of St. Anne Catholic Church, Davidsville. She was a longtime bank teller having retired from First National Bank. She loved dancing from the time she was a teenager and went on to open Imperial Dance Studio in Davidsville. After closing the studio she continued teaching dance, baton and gymnastics from her home. Later in life, with the help of dear friends, she was able to put on her tap shoes and dance with a couple of the Rockettes at Radio City Music Hall. She said she’d brag about this for the rest of her life. See for yourself her joy of a lifetime by searching “Angie the Rockette” on YouTube. Above all of this was her deep faith and love for her family. She was very active within her church as a member of the Sacred Heart Society, the choir and St. Anne Ladies Guild. She was well known for her cooking, especially her Sunday homemade spaghetti dinners. She always said the greatest gift God gave us is the gift of love, which was evident by how she lived her life.
