Obituary for Amelia S. "Millie" Yoder

YODER – Amelia S. "Millie" (Milkie), 88, Davidsville, passed away April 21, 2022 at Richland Healthcare & Rehab Center. Born August 14, 1933 in Windber. Daughter of Nicholas and Adell (Geha) Milkie. Preceded in death by parents; brother, George and wife Genevieve; sisters, June and husband Richard Fiscus, Louise and husband James Young and Alberta Stiles. Survived by loving husband of 69 years, Raymond S. Yoder; daughters, Catherine A. “Cathy” and husband Dwayne Deal and Linda J. and husband John M. Woodward, III; grandchildren, Theresa Deal and Kristy Zyra; great-grandchildren, Paige Deal and Michael Zyra; brother-in-law Philip Stiles and several cousins, nieces and nephews. Amelia was a 1952 graduate of Johnstown High School. Member of St. David’s Lutheran Church, Davidsville. She enjoyed knitting and keeping a clean house. She was a very social person who enjoyed being around others and had a special way of making people laugh. She also had a love of animals, especially her pet cats, Tessie and Beca. The family would like to thank the staff of Richland Healthcare for all their compassionate care given to Amelia. Friends received from 11AM until time of memorial service 1PM Thursday, April 28 at Hoffman Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 109 Church Road, Davidsville with Pastor Faron H. Johnson presiding.
