Obituary for Agnes I. Zanoni (Tims)

ZANONI - Agnes I. (Tims), 87, formerly of Acosta, died January 21, 2019 at Rest Assured Living Center, Meyersdale. Born April 4, 1931 in Acosta. Daughter of John and Mary (Friskie) Tims. Preceded in death by parents; husband of 65 years Melio H. Zanoni on August 17, 2017; sisters Cecelia Tims, Mary Ann Gontis, Elizabeth Warner and Margaret Luongo and brother John Tims. Survived by children Joseph (Pam) Zanoni, Suzanne (Gary) Soha, Brian (Connie) Zanoni, Trina (Doug) Clay, Kevin (Julie) Zanoni and Lisa (Randy) Lundborg; grandchildren Jennifer Zanoni, Steven Zanoni, David (Nicole) Zanoni, Ben (Julie) Soha, Emily (Craig) Neff, Jonathan (Cayla) Zanoni, Cassandra (Eli) Tomlinson, Michael (Britiany) Stout, Michelle (Mark) Younkin, Ryan Zanoni and Hannah Lundborg; great-grandchildren Nathaniel and Amelia Zanoni, Maria Soha, Hayden, Sierra, Liam and Westyn Zanoni, Gavin, Max and Michael Stout and Braylon Younkin; sister Barbara Dain and brother Richard Tims. A 1949 graduate of Somerset High School. Employee of former Somerset Pajama Factory and past Postmaster of the Acosta Post Office. Member of St. Peter’s Catholic Church, Somerset and lifetime member of former St. John’s Catholic Church, Acosta. Agnes was a very active participant in her church in Acosta as well as the Acosta community, including the Acosta Fire Dept., Curator of the Acosta Museum, family historian and was instrumental in erecting the Acosta Honor Roll. Viewing from 10AM until time of Funeral Mass 11AM Tuesday, January 29, 2019 at St. Peter’s Catholic Church with Rev. Fr. Angelo J. Patti, celebrant. Committal Somerset County Memorial Park. Donations in Agnes’ memory may be sent to St. Peter’s School, 433 W. Church St., Somerset, PA 15501. Any flowers should be delivered to the church after 8AM on January 29th.
