STETZ – Almeda B. “Meadie” (McDaniel), 92, Jerome, died September 14, 2021 at Laurelwood Care Center, Johnstown. Born November 26, 1928 in Jerome. Daughter of Lloyd and Trella (Stevens) McDaniel. Preceded in death by parents; husband of 64 years, Paul J. “Zig” Stetz, Sr. and sisters, Vi Geise and Annie Carrico. Survived by sons, George married to Linda (Hay), Richland and Paul J., Jr. married to Suzanne (Shaffer), Johnstown; grandchildren Michelle married to Christopher Miller, Melanie married to Michael Guidice, Jennifer married to Jeremy Evans and Michael married to Danielle (Baughman) and 9 great-grandchildren. Meadie was a 1946 graduate of Conemaugh Township High School. Past employee of former Dorfman & Hoffman Garment Factory. Member of St. Anne Catholic Church, Davidsville; Jerome Volunteer Fireman’s Ladies Auxiliary and Jerome Polish Falcons. She enjoyed crocheting, solving sudoku puzzles and eating wing dings from the Village Inn. Viewing from 2-6PM Sunday at Hoffman Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 409 Main Street, Boswell where a Vigil for the Deceased will be held 2PM Sunday.
