BLOUGH – Virgil D., 81, Moonlite Park Road, Hollsopple, formerly of Westwood, died suddenly Feb. 12, 2012, at his home. Born Oct. 24, 1930, in Benson, son of Conley Sr. and Virginia (Price) Blough. Preceded in death by parents; sisters, Arbutus Davis and Beulah Moranduzzo; and brothers, Conley Jr., Donald, Blair, Dwight and Gerald Blough. Virgil was the last surviving member of his siblings. Survived by wife of 55 years, the former Thelma R. Georg; daughters, Claudia, married to Donald Cotchen, Hollsopple; Cynthia, married to Melvin Conner, Hollsopple; Nanette, married to Paul Murtha, Stafford, Va.; Sherri, married to William Andrews, Davidsville; and Jill, married to Russell Peruso, Johnstown; and grandchildren, Vincent Cotchen; Christopher and Kimberly Conner; Joshua, Matthew and Jacob Murtha; Sara, Sonya and Kirsten Andrews; and Uriah, Levi and Shiloh Peruso. Also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. A U.S. Navy veteran of the Korean War. A 1948 graduate of Conemaugh Township Area High School. He was an active member of Christ Lutheran Church, Westmont. Also a member of Jerome Sportsmen. Owner and operator of Blough’s Deli, Davidsville, for 33 years. He also was an avid hunter and fisherman. Viewing will be held from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Hoffman Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 109 Church Road, Davidsville. Viewing also will be held from 10 a.m. until time of service at 11 a.m. Thursday at Christ Lutheran Church, the Rev. Clarence Caldwell, presiding. Interment, Custer Cemetery.
