PIPTA – Irene (Chudik), Meyersdale, formerly of Somerset Pike, Johnstown, died September 19, 2019 at Rest Assured Personal Care, Meyersdale. Born September 20, 1938 in Johnstown. Daughter of Michael and Mary (Kolcun) Chudik. Preceded in death by parents and husband Deacon Paul J. Pipta. Survived by daughter Rene’ married to Keith Hay, Meyersdale; grandchildren Abigail Elizabeth and Caleb Christopher Hay and numerous nieces, nephews and in-laws. A graduate of Cambria Rowe Business College, Johnstown. She was employed by Conemaugh Memorial Hospital Credit Office. Retired from Pennsylvania Job Service as an Employment Interviewer after 30 years of service. She loved all animals and was a supporter of several animal shelters and charities. Member of SS Peter & Paul Byzantine Catholic Church, Jerome. Irene enjoyed gardening and was a very good cook. Viewing from 2-6PM Sunday at Hoffman Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 109 Church Road, Davidsville where a Parastas service will be held 5:30PM Sunday. Christian Burial with Divine Liturgy 11AM Monday at SS Peter & Paul Church, Jerome with Fr. Ivan Rusyn celebrant. Committal SS Peter & Paul Byzantine Cemetery, Jerome.
