SLEEK – Earl E. “Buck”, 88, Johnstown, passed away peacefully at home and went to be with the Lord July 15, 2019. Born October 18, 1930 in Conemaugh Township, Somerset County. Son of Homer R. and Amy A. (Ashbrook) Sleek. Preceded in death by parents, brother Clayton “Jim” Sleek and sister Janet Miller. Survived by wife of 63 years Patricia A. (Shaffer) Sleek; children Lois A. married to Ronald Tessari, Johnstown; Gail L. married to Todd Berkebile, Johnstown; Marsha D. married to Von Parkins, Johnstown; Susan S. married to Craig Zaman, Davidsville and Earl E. “Buck” married to Pamela (Studer) Sleek, Johnstown; grandchildren Heath Tessari (Ashley), Chad Tessari (Megan), Jill (Tessari) LaRue (Mike), Steven Golias (Ashley), Daniel Golias (Kate), Drew Golias (Marianna), Shaina (Parkins) Thomas (Nathan), Craig Parkins, Jacob Parkins (Ashley), Blake Zaman, Seth Zaman (Janette), Audra Zaman and Morgan Sleek; great-grandchildren Brycen, Delaney, Giovanna, Dominic, Mila, Amari, Eli, Noah, Mason, Norah, Owen, Leora, Locklyn, Liam, Hollis and Bodhi and sisters Vivian Yost, Dorothy Bostic and Marlene Oppy. A 1950 graduate of Conemaugh Township High School. Former owner and operator of Homer R. Sleek & Sons/Sleek Trucking, which was founded by his father and is now operated by his son Buck. Member of St. David’s Lutheran Church, Davidsville, Johnstown BPOE #175 and Windber Country Club, where he played with the Duffers League. Buck was an avid golfer and gardener and active member of the Conemaugh Township community. His greatest joy in life has always been his family.
