Obituary for John E. Mantini Jr.

MANTINI – John E., Jr., 66, Johnstown, passed away May 23, 2019 at his home surrounded by his loving family. Born July 12, 1952 in Johnstown. Son of John E., Sr. and Massamina “Mamie” (Centorami) Mantini. Preceded in death by mother, first wife Anne E. (Kelly) Mantini on February 14, 2014 and special uncle Vito Mantini. Survived by father, Davidsville; wife Eleanor C. “Dolly” (Theys) Warnick Mantini; daughter Kelly M. married to Matt Martinek, Johnstown; grandchildren Evan C., Lilly M. and Max V. Martinek; brothers Dr. Ernest married to Linda (Chesnutwood) Mantini, Richland and Dr. Rocco married to Jeanne (Salony) Mantini, Hollsopple; stepdaughters Melissa A. Warnick, Johnstown and Kristi E. Chaney, Johnstown; stepgrandchildren Xavier T. and Giovanni R. Chaney and many nieces and nephews. A 1970 graduate of Conemaugh Township High School and a graduate of U.P.J. Retired employee for PA Department of Public Welfare. Member of Zion Lutheran Church, Johnstown and Greater Johnstown Saddle Club. Former member of Windber Country Club where he enjoyed golfing. He also enjoyed bowling with his father and brothers, playing music-especially the guitar, dancing, going to the beach and to concerts. His favorite concert band was The Tom-Katz. John liked to tell jokes and make people laugh and was a very loving and caring person. Viewing from 5-8PM Tuesday at Hoffman Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 109 Church Road, Davidsville. Viewing also from 10AM until time of service 11AM Wednesday at Zion Lutheran Church with Pastor Michael Van Dyke presiding.
