ALWINE – Beatrice A. “Bea” (Blough), 92, Johnstown, died May 4, 2019 at Richland Healthcare & Rehabilitation Center. Born December 6, 1926 in Johnstown. Daughter of Walter F. and Adda (Yoder) Blough. Preceded in death by parents, husband James L. Alwine on October 7, 1998 and brother Boyd Blough. Survived by children Robert K. married to Bonnie (Keim), Hollsopple; Franklin J. married to Cheryl (Kress), Milton, VT and Deidre A. Alwine, with whom Bea resided; grandchildren Eric Alwine and wife Jessica and Stephen and Kevin Alwine; sister-in-law Mildred married to David Miller, Hollospple; 2 nieces and 2 nephews. A 1944 graduate of Conemaugh Township High School. Former secretary for Joe Miller & Sons Contracting, Davidsville. Lifelong member of Tire Hill Church of the Brethren where she served as Deaconess, taught Sunday School and sang in the choir and with the Sounds of Faith quartet. She enjoyed spending time with her church family and gardening and canning. A private viewing and burial will be held. Friends received from 1PM until time of service 2PM Saturday, May 25th at Tire Hill Church of the Brethren with Rev. Royden Airesman presiding. Interment Stahl Mennonite Cemetery.
