Life Story for June Cooper (Stafford)

COOPER – June (Stafford), 99, formerly of Davidsville, passed quietly away April 6, 2014, at her daughter’s home in Cambridge, Mass. The oldest of five, she was born June 7, 1914, in New York, N.Y., to Samuel and Olive (McCune) Stafford. In 1939, she married Richard F. Cooper Sr., owner of FE Cooper Lumber Corp., Johnstown. Beener, Jenner Township, Somerset County; and Susan, married to Americo Andrade, with whom she resided; grandchildren, Kathryn Beener; Josh Beener, and wife, Kara; and Tess Andrade; and great-granddaughter, Geonna. Her son, Richard Jr., who was enriched by June’s strength and optimism and who in turn, enriched other lives immeasurably, died in 2006. Her husband, Richard Sr., a talented photographer, pianist, bridge player, business man and so much more, passed away in 1999.
