Obituary for Jacqueline Louise "Jackie" Singo

SINGO - Jacqueline Louise “Jackie”, 66, Jenner Crossroads, went to be with her Savior on her birthday, March 17th, 2020, at her home, surrounded by family. Born March 17, 1954 in Somerset. Beloved daughter of Homer G. and Thomasine J. (Johnson) Singo. Preceded in death by father and sister Gwendolyn Maree Faith. Survived by loving mother, with whom she resided; brother Jeffrey Glen and his wife Nancy and their sons James Thomas “JT” and Calvin Jeffrey; “sister” Cheryl (Singo) married to Robert Burba and their daughter Elizabeth; brother-in-law Sam Faith; nieces Jodi Maree Paul, Nikki Rae Rodgers and Ginelle Kay Michael and great nieces and great nephews. Jackie was a 1972 graduate of Charles W. Woodward High School, Rockville, MD. After graduating, she worked as a Xerox operator for the US Department of Transportation. Jackie was diagnosed with Ataxia Telangiectasia, as a young child. She fearlessly faced A-T with poise, grace, and courage and placed her trust not in the diagnosis, but her Savior Jesus Christ. Jackie championed for the awareness of A-T, and participated in many A-T Walks. Despite the severe physical limitations, her spirit remained strong. She far exceeded the life expectancy of a person with A-T. She had an infectious smile and sense of humor. Jackie loved music, camping, family reunions, enjoying the sunshine, swimming, word puzzles and playing games. Most of all, she enjoyed time with her family and, especially, her precious nieces and nephews. Jackie grew up in Silver Spring, MD, and moved to Jenner Crossroads in 1993. She attended the Boswell Church of God. Due to public health concerns, a private viewing and funeral will be held at Hoffman Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 409 Main Street, Boswell. Interment Jenner Crossroads Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please make donations in her memory to Interim Hospice, 322 Warren St., Suite 250, Johnstown, PA 15905 or the charity of your choice.
