BOYER – Robert C., 72, Hollsopple, died Feb. 23, 2015, at home. Born Aug. 6, 1942, in Jenner Township, Somerset County, son of Robert E. and Lillian R. (Long) Boyer. Preceded in death by parents and brother-in-law, Lloyd Sarver. Survived by son, Robert J. “Bucky” Boyer, Chesterton, Ind.; stepson, Col. Thomas D. Huse, and wife, Donna, U.S. Army, Fort Lee, Va.; and stepdaughter, Tracy L. Huse, Merrillville, Ind.; grandsons, Andrew Joseph Boyer and Michael Joseph Boyer; sisters, Bernice A. Sarver, Hollsopple; and Janice Y., married to Robert H. Burns, Monroeville; and numerous nieces and nephews. A 1960 graduate of the former JBJ Joint Schools and Army veteran of the Vietnam War.
