Born Sept. 4, 1913, in Kearney, Bedford County, daughter of Michael and Pearl (Figard) Gowarty. Preceded in death by parents; husband, Chester M., on Dec. 22, 1973; infant son, Ronald; and brothers, John, Robert and Arthur. Sister of Josephine, widow of Gerald Carpenter, Windber; and Kenneth, married to Nancy Donio, Jenners. Also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
